Moses Rosenkranz stand, wie Alfred Kittner prägnant sagte, «in länger oder kürzer währenden Freundschaftsbeziehungen zu Alfred Margul-Sperber, Alfred Kittner, Oskar Walter Cisek, Immanuel Weissglas, Ion Pillat, Vasile Voiculescu, Harald Krasser, Wolf Aichelburg, Hermann Roth. Alle, die sein Werk und seine Persönlichkeit kannten, haben seiner Dichtung eine überragende Bedeutung beigemessen.» Als am längsten und am dauerhaftesten, auch wenn nicht völlig reibungslos, erwies sich das freundschaftliche und schriftstellerische Verhältnis zwischen Margul-Sperber und Rosenkranz. Im Bukarester Sperber-Nachlass befinden sich im Muzeul Național al Literaturii Române zahlreiche Briefe und Postkarten, die Rosenkranz seinem Freund, «Margul, dem Riesen», geschickt hat. Das Persönliche wurde sehr oft von existenziell-dichterischen Freuden und Nöten weitgehend zurückgedrängt. Nicht immer ist das Verhältnis, wie gesagt, harmonisch gewesen, manchmal führten Dissonanzen bis zu seinem totalen Abbruch, bis zur «Kriegserklärung». Doch das dominierende Gefühl ist letztendlich jenes, dass man einen Freund hat, dem man sich anvertrauen kann, der mit der Zeit für die eigene lyrische Produktion fast unerlässlich wurde: man brauchte seine Anregungen, seine Kritik, sein Lob.
