Oder mit Karsten, dem früheren Studienkollegen, in einer Bar nahe der Charité, wo der als Molekularbiologe beschäftigt ist. Oder bei der alten polnischen Architektin Dorota, deren intellektuelle Energie auf ihn genauso verwirrend wie ansteckend wirkt. Umso tiefer trifft es den namenlosen Gast, dass er - ein Stück selbstgebackenen Kuchen in der Tasche - bei seinem letzten Besuch in ihrer leergeräumten Wohnung steht. Frau Dorota, sagt der Vermieter, hat sich in ihrem Schlafzimmer erhängt. „In seinem vierten Roman erzählt Matthias Nawrat vom Migration und darüber, was das Ankommen in der Fremde mit den Menschen macht.
