Content: This book outlines issues surrounding diversity among students, faculty, and staff and how one urban university library is working to embrace and celebrate the diversity found in its building, on campus, and in the local community. This book illustrates how universities are uniquely situated to engage students in discussions about diversity and how academic libraries in particular can facilitate and ease these discussions. A Diversity Council and the projects and programs it has developed have been instrumental in this work and may serve as an inspiration and launch pad for other libraries. Di

Content: This open access book is a nuanced introduction to Forced Migration Studies and a toolkit for faculty and undergraduate students, with a special emphasis on community-engaged learning. Experts from the social sciences, humanities, arts, and experimental sciences offer interdisciplinary perspectives to translate critical analysis into concrete action. The collection highlights activists, artists, and educators who have initiated projects in cooperation with and for the benefit of populations affected by migration and displacement. Together, these contributions powerfully articulate the relevance of the liberal arts and social sciences in preparing students to meet increasingly interconnected global challenges such as forced migration, climate change, and Covid-19. Brittany Murray is Assistant Professor of French at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA, and a former member of the Consortium on Forced Migration, Displacement, and Education’s leadership team at Vassar College. Matthew Brill-Carlat is an immigration paralegal serving unaccompanied children in New York, USA. He is former Coordinator of Research and Pedagogy and member of the leadership team of the Consortium on Forced Migration, Displacement, and Education at Vassar College. Maria Höhn is Professor Emerita of History on the Marion Musser Lloyd ‘32 Chair at Vassar College, New York, USA, where she was Director and Principal Investigator of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation-funded Consortium on Forced Migration, Displacement, and Education.

Content: 'At IU's Kelley School of Business, we believe in the power of entrepreneurial thinking, with a relentless pursuit of excellence in the research and teaching of entrepreneurship and innovation across our entire campus. This book on "academic entrepreneurship" offers one of the most comprehensive approaches to understanding the framework and strategies for building effective entrepreneurship programs within universities today. I truly believe all universities, regardless of their current stage of development of their entrepreneurship programs, will materially benefit from the ideas in this book.' - Daniel C. Smith, former Dean, Kelley School of Business, Indiana University and current CEO, Indiana University Foundation, US. 'I am a believer in the concept of the entrepreneurial university, and think our institutions of higher learning must learn to think and act in more entrepreneurial ways. The kind of entrepreneurial culture which this book champions can transform student lives, invigorate university campuses, and make a fundamental difference in our communities.' - Burns Hargis, President, Oklahoma State University, US. After more than 30 years of impressive growth, what have we learned about building world-class entrepreneurship programs within universities? After tracing the evolution of entrepreneurship within institutions of higher learning, the authors explore the key elements that constitute a comprehensive entrepreneurship program. Best practices at leading universities and differing kinds of academic environments are highlighted. They examine multiple aspects of program management and infrastructure, including curriculum and degree program development, where entrepreneurship is administratively housed, how it is organized, and approaches to staffing and resource acquisition. The perspectives shared in the book enable university presidents, entrepreneurship students, provosts, deans, entrepreneurship program directors, faculty members, and others to better capitalize upon the empowering and transformative potential of entrepreneurship.

Content: Quickly following what many expected to be a wholesale revolution in library practices, institutional repositories encountered unforeseen problems and a surprising lack of impact. Clunky or cumbersome interfaces, lack of perceived value and use by scholars, fear of copyright infringement, and the like tended to dampen excitement and adoption. This collection of essays, arranged in five thematic sections, is intended to take the pulse of institutional repositories-to see how they have matured and what can be expected from them, as well as introduce what may be the future role of the institutional repository.

Content: The Multiplayer Classroom: Game Plans is a companion to The Multiplayer Classroom: Designing Coursework as a Game, now in its second edition from CRC Press. This book covers four multiplayer classroom projects played in the real world in real time to teach and entertain. They were funded by grants or institutions, collaborations between Lee Sheldon, as writer/designer, and subject matter experts in various fields. They are written to be accessible to anyone--designer, educator, or layperson--interested in game-based learning. The subjects are increasingly relevant in this day and age: physical fitness, Mandarin, cybersecurity, and especially an online class exploring culture and identity on the internet that is unlike any online class you have ever seen. Read the annotated, often-suspenseful stories of how each game, with its unique challenges, thrills, and spills, was built. Lee Sheldon began his writing career in television as a writer-producer, eventually writing more than 200 shows ranging from Charlie's Angels (writer) to Edge of Night (head writer) to Star Trek: The Next Generation (writer-producer). Having written and designed more than forty commercial and applied video games, Lee spearheaded the first full writing for games concentration in North America at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the second writing concentration at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is a regular lecturer and consultant on game design and writing in the United States and abroad. His most recent commercial game, the award-winning The Lion's Song, is currently on Steam. For the past two years he consulted on an "escape room in a box," funded by NASA, that gives visitors to hundreds of science museums and planetariums the opportunity to play colonizers on the moon. He is currently writing his second mystery novel
