Stefan, als (glückloser) Schauspieler in München lebend, kehrt für ein Wochenende - das der Sperrung der A 40 am 18. Juli 2010 - nach Bochum zurück, um das Häuschen seiner Eltern zu verkaufen. Was er jedoch stattdessen erlebt, ist ein Wiedersehen mit Gefährten seiner Jugend und eine Reise in die Vergangenheit (mit der er nicht abgeschlossen hatte, vor allem nicht, was seine Jugendliebe angeht). Bis er schließlich erkennt, wo seine Wurzeln sind und was er zu tun hat, um glücklich zu werden. Goosen (zuletzt BA 3/10), Bochumer durch und durch, hat auch hier wieder einen Heimatroman im besten Sinn geschrieben, mit ganz viel Lokalkolorit, einem lange unentschlossenen, aber sympathischen "lucky loser", köstlichen Ruhrgebiets-Typen und entsprechenden sprachlichen Eigenheiten. Viel passiert nicht an den beiden Tagen, schon gar nichts Spektakuläres, doch diese alltägliche Geschichte, diese privaten Erlebnisse aus einem originellen Mikrokosmos, schildert der Autor so unterhaltsam, kurzweilig und humorvoll, dass ganz schnell ein "pageturner" daraus wird. Für alle Bibliotheken (ja, auch die im Süden!) empfohlen.
