Abstract:
Dredge fines inclusion in manufactured soil blends improves the soil quality of manufactured soil blends. Fines do not significantly impact the contaminant load for contaminants of concern as expected and should not be removed from bulk dredge. Manufactured soil blends containing 80% (v/v) dredge fines with 20% (v/v) additions of compost material result in greatest improvements to soil quality.
