Abstract:
Elevated levels of encephalitic T lymphocytes are present following regulatory T‐cell depletion during acute viral brain infection. Chronic microglial cell and astrocyte reactivity are observed subsequent to regulatory T‐cell ablation. Unremitting neuroinflammation following regulatory T‐cell depletion is associated with reduced cognitive performance by convalescent animals.
