Kurzfassung:
What's new? Glioblastoma in children is rare but highly lethal and overall understudied as compared to the adulthood tumor. Here the authors performed genome‐wide expression profiling of non‐coding RNAs in 14 pediatric glioblastoma samples and four controls. They identified two groups of tumors with distinct microRNA signatures and survival rates. Changes were also observed in small nucleolar (sno) RNAs, i.e., downregulation of snoRNA cluster HBII‐52 in pediatric tumors, adding to the catalogue of emerging differences and overlaps between pediatric and adult glioblastoma.
