Kurzfassung:
HPV E5 gene is considered an oncogene and due to the frequent disruption of viral genome most tumors do not express E5. We asked whether the presence of E5 affects the overall survival of patients with cervical cancer and the transcription of EGFR and VEGFA. No difference was found in the transcription of EGFR and VEGFA. No difference was found in overall survival of patients in respect to the potential presence of E5.
