Abstract: On April 29, 2001, a signal from Pioneer 10 was received in Madrid, Spain. At a distance of 77.7 AU from the Sun (11.75 billion km.), Pioneer 10 is continuing to move away at a speed of 12.24 km/sec (27,380 mph). It takes a truly long‐distance call to make contact—almost 22 hours are required to send and receive a signal from Pioneer 10!
