Abstract:
( Anaesthesia . 2021;76:759–776. [Epub January 12, 2021]) The occurrence of accidental awareness during general anesthesia (AAGA) for obstetric patients appears to be influenced by multiple factors. Underreporting may be at play when patients self-report AAGA while, conversely, overreporting may be happening following a “Brice” interview method due to potential oversensitivity of the tool. This study aimed to describe the occurrence, nature of, risk-factors, and psychological implications of AAGA for obstetric patients requiring surgery.
