Kurzfassung:
Explores the feasibility to set up a common European database on severe childhood intellectual disability. Comparison of five European databases on severe intellectual disability showed significant differences in prevalence. European databases on intellectual disability showed differences in methods of case recruitment and diagnosis. Similarities were found in classifying intellectual disability and completeness.
