Kurzfassung: The genome of Akebia trifoliata , as a representative species of basal eudicots, suggests that a whole genome duplication event occurred at the early stage of eudicots around the Jurassic–Cretaceous boundary and possibly increased ancient eudicots environmental adaptability.
