Abstract:
The temperature dependence of the surface resistance of Bi–Sr–Ca–Cu–O whiskers measured by the probe-coupled microstrip resonator method was examined. Two kinds of whiskers were measured: plate-like and wire-like. The surface resistances of the plate-like and wire-like whiskers were 0.65 mΩ and 1.6 mΩ at 53 K and 6.9 GHz, respectively. These values were approximately 4 ∼10 times larger than that of a high-quality Bi 2 Sr 2 CaCu 2 O x (Bi-2212) single crystal.
