Abstract:
image Kinesin‐2 recognizes and binds its specific cargo in a two‐step manner. The kinesin–cargo interaction can be modulated through stabilization by the coiled‐coil stalk. The KIF3/KAP3 complex exhibits a specific cargo‐binding structure. The coiled‐coil region of KIF3 participates in cargo binding. AFM and cryo‐EM analyses of the KIF3/KAP3‐APC complex reveal its dynamic conformations. The study suggests a two‐step APC‐binding mechanism of KIF3/KAP3.
