Kurzfassung: Water samples from different sources viz., rivers, streams, nallahs, tube wells and hand pumps in Jammu region were collected and analysed for quality parameters to ascertain their suitability for imigation purposes. Except some of the tubewell and hand pump water samples which showed higher values of residual sodium carbonate, most of the water sources were observed to he suitable for irrigation purposes.
