Abstract:
Résumé. - Une relecture de l'histoire de l'Ouest français devant une carte de géographie physique montre que cette dernière a dirigé les grands événements de l'histoire du Moyen Age et en particulier celle de l'Empire Plantagenêt associé à la "croisée angevine". Puis à la fin du quinzième siècle, l'histoire de France s'est détournée pour s'intéresser aux régions traversées par le couloir Rhône-Rhin et par ses annexes.
