Abstract:
A pancreatite aguda (PA) é uma inflamação aguda do pâncreas, um órgão importante no sistema digestivo, podendo ser desencadeada por diversas causas, sendo a mais comum o consumo excessivo de álcool e a formação de cálculos biliares que bloqueiam os ductos pancreáticos. A lesão pancreática ocorre quando as enzimas digestivas do pâncreas se ativam prematuramente, levando à inflamação e danos ao próprio órgão. A PA pode ser classificada em leve, moderada ou grave, dependendo da extensão dos danos ao pâncreas e ao tecido circundante. Quanto às manifestações clínicas, incluem dor abdominal intensa na parte superior, náuseas, vômitos, febre e taquicardia. Em casos graves, podem ocorrer complicações como choque, insuficiência renal e insuficiência respiratória. O diagnóstico envolve a avaliação dos sintomas clínicos, exames de sangue para verificar os níveis de enzimas pancreáticas e imagens, como a tomografia computadorizada, para avaliar o estado do pâncreas. Além disso, complicações comuns incluem abscessos, pseudocistos pancreáticos, infecções e insuficiência orgânica. No que se refere ao tratamento, depende da gravidade, mas geralmente envolve internação hospitalar, jejum, hidratação intravenosa e controle da dor. Em casos graves, pode ser necessário cirurgia para remover tecido necrótico. O prognóstico varia de acordo com a gravidade da pancreatite. Casos leves têm um prognóstico favorável, enquanto a pancreatite grave pode ser potencialmente fatal. Por fim, a prevenção envolve evitar fatores de risco, como o consumo excessivo de álcool e o tratamento de cálculos biliares. Dieta balanceada e controle de peso também podem reduzir o risco de desenvolver pancreatite.
