Abstract:
Objetivo: identificar evidências sobre o uso do ozônio no tratamento tópico de feridas cutâneas em humanos. Método: revisão de escopo, realizada em março de 2021 nas bases de dados Cochrane Library, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, Scientific Eletronic Library Online e National Library of Medicine com os descritores em Ciências da Saúde nas combinações: Cicatrização, Ozônio, Feridas e Lesões. Foram selecionados 1352 artigos, elegíveis 129 e analisados em detalhe 09. Resultados: os estudos mostraram que o ozônio é uma terapia vantajosa na estimulação cicatricial das feridas cutâneas devido í s suas diversas potencialidades. Conclusão: há evidências da efetividade do uso do ozônio no tratamento de feridas, principalmente nas formas de gás e óleos, sendo necessários novos estudos a fim de parametrizar sua aplicação e os indicadores de cicatrização.
