Kurzfassung:
Detailed indications assessment and selection of the stimulation type are the key parts of qualification for pacemaker implantation. They affect both the clinical response and the possible risk of complications. These may include but are not limited to, severe right ventricular failure and significant tricuspid regurgitation. We present the case of a patient in whom right ventricular overload, severe tricuspid regurgitation, and thyroid goiter already caused difficulties at the stage of implantation of the device, and also influenced later complications after the procedure. This required the use of alternative solutions which are presented in the article.
