Content: Memoirs of a Jew, born in 1935 in the village of Nagoszyn, Poland. Pp. 11-85 describe her experiences in the Holocaust. Her father fled with the outbreak of war to the USSR. She was sent, with her mother's family, to the Dębica ghetto; her grandmother perished there, after making her daughter promise that she and Manja would survive. Oifert and her mother escaped from the ghetto and went into hiding, most of the time in a bunker on a farm in Bobrowa, but also in forests and fields, until the liberation. In 1947 her father returned and in 1950 the family emigrated to Israel. (From the Bibliography of the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism)
