Content: Condensates forming with great frequency affects the performance and safety of windows, walls, ceilings, electric cabinets and heat exchange equipment. A superhydrophobic surface is considered as a simple and effective approach for anti-condensation application. Here, we fabricated a sprayable anti-condensation coating based on polyester powders. The coating exhibited superhydrophobicity and condensation resistance at various sub-cooled temperatures. We demonstrate that the number of nucleation sites is greatly related to the surface energy, and the dynamic growth of droplets presents distinct behaviors because of the different hydrophobicity. The superhydrophobic surface presents different droplet-jumping events under different relative humidity (RH). Droplet-jumping events of 50 times were observed under 48% RH in an 11-min cooling period, which is five-times higher than those under other relative humidity conditions. To avoid contaminations triggered nucleation events, anti-fouling property, as a key factor of an anti-condensation coating, was also studied. Oil repellence and contamination tests verified the good anti-fouling property of our coating. Our work opens significant research and market opportunities for the widely used polyester coatings in anti-condensation applications
