Content: In the context of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and China's "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" policy, exploring the resilience of energy enterprises for stable economic development has assumed increasing importance. Based on this, our study uses the data of 327 Chinese energy enterprises from 2011-2021 to explore the relationship between environmental concern and energy enterprise resilience. The results find that both government and public environmental concern reduce the resilience of energy firms, and the results are statistically significant at 10%. Further mechanism research has shown that the impact of environmental concern on the resilience of energy enterprises is still at the "cost compliance effect" stage and has not yet reached the "innovation compensation effect" stage. In particular, government environmental concern increases the management costs of energy companies, reducing their flexibility and weakening their resilience, while public environmental concern stimulates digital transformation, but also reduces the resilience of energy companies due to the risks associated with digital transformation. The findings provide empirical evidence for building resilience in Chinese energy enterprises and providing feasible support for China's environmental regulatory reform
