"La Salle Blanche" is a stage and space, rebus and index, original and copy. Marcel Broodthaers conceived and staged his complex main work for the installation of 'L'Angélus de Daumier'. The prominent wood construction with 154 terms from art production, the art business, art reception and aesthetics refer to an open system related to the 'Musée dArt Moderne Département des Aigles' and to the central works 'Pense-Bête' and 'Un coup de Dés'. Broodthaers artistic strategies make use of processes of alienation, transformation, wordplay and fiction, and also demonstrate his references to Mallarmé, Duchamp, Magritte and Schwitters. The monograph on Martins oeuvre problematizes the installations of original and travel sets, starting from 1975 up to the most recent curatorial productions. With an alphabetical glossary ('Artbécédaire')
