This book discusses the entire lithostratigraphy of Iran from the Proterozoic to Recent. This unique book manages to elucidate the stratigraphy of Iran, after an exhausting and long-term process; the creation of a comprehensive stratigraphic framework required input from many Iranian specialist stratigraphers - a process which will be ongoing in the future. However, the main purpose of this work is to provide a concise summary of the state of the art of the litostratigraphy for Iranian formations.
