Zwei endlose Stunden, wo die zwei sich doch überhaupt nichts aus Lesen machen. Doch das ist nicht das Schlimmste. Der grösste Schrecken ist Knolle Murphy, die Bibliothekarin. Sie hasst Kinder. Marty versucht sie auszutricksen, doch nun müssen sie auf dem Teppich still sitzen bleiben. Aus lauter Langeweile fangen sie an zu lesen, - und verfallen dem Zauber des geschriebenen Wortes. Schon bald haben sie alle Kinderbücher durchgelesen. Obwohl es streng verboten ist, wagt sich Tim in die Erwachsenenabteilung. Knolle Murphy kommt ihm auf die Schliche und gibt Tim einen Leserausweis für Erwachsene! Eine witzige Geschichte, die mich ein wenig an Roald Dahl erinnert, geeignet, um kleinen Leser/-innen diese Kunst schmackhaft zu machen. Ab 8 Jahren, gut, Irene Beglinger-Flückiger.
