Die fünfte Folge zeigt, dass der Erfolg der Monty-Python-Shows den einzelnen Gruppenmitgliedern ebenfalls erfolgreiche Soloprojekte ermöglichte. Nicht zuletzt der finanzielle Erfolg ihrer Hollywood-Filme, allen voran die zum Kultfilm avancierte Komödie "Das Leben des Brian", die als Parodie auf das Leben Jesu bei Kirchen und gläubigen Christen zu Unmut führte und deren Schlusslied "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" weit über den Film hinaus bekanntwurde, verschaffte den Monty Pythons neue Freiräume für Soloprojekte. So spielte John Cleese neben Jamie Lee Curtis in "Ein Fisch namens Wanda" und entwickelte die Comedy-Serie "Fawlty Towers". Und Terry Gilliam inszenierte die Erfolgsfilme "Time Bandits" und "Brazil". Die fünfte Folge der Reihe stellt außerdem die Frage, warum typisch britische Fernsehshows wie die der Monty-Python-Truppe auch in den USA und Japan derart erfolgreich sein konnten. [arte]
