Im Jahr 1960 hielt der Minirock Einzug in die Welt der Mode. Er galt als ein skandalöses Kleidungsstück, legte er doch das Frauenknie frei. Der Minirock symbolisierte eine neue Ära und ein neues Selbstverständnis, fielen doch in den 60er Jahren zahlreiche gesellschaftliche Tabus. Ob als Moderevolution oder Skandalobjekt - nimmt das kleine Stück Stoff in der Geschichte der weiblichen Emanzipation jedenfalls eine nicht unerhebliche Rolle ein. Historiker, Soziologen, große Modeschöpfer, anonyme Zeitzeugen sowie zahlreiche Archivbilder beleuchten die Geschichte des Minirocks von seiner Einführung bis heute.
