In the debate about the quality of training and continuous professional development the professional education employees play a key role. Whether that is in companies, in external institutions or vocational schools - the success of training processes depends significantly on the qualification, competence and commitment of the training and teaching staff. The changes of the framework conditions and challenges in the world of work lead to the professional education staff facing new tasks, which also require new qualifications. This publication sheds light on the different aspects of the current qualification requirements and thereby offers an extensive overview of the current state of scientific knowledge and unanswered research questions.
