Was hinter den verschlossenen Türen der Labors und Ateliers geschieht, bleibt dabei so unsichtbar wie geheimnisvoll. Die Berliner Künstlerin und Professorin für Bildende Kunst Stefanie Bürkle (*1966) hat sich nun dieser unbekannten Orte der Kreation angenommen und Berliner Labore und Künstlerateliers fotografiert. Ihre Fotoarbeiten zeigen menschenleere Entwicklungs- und Denkräume voller Materialien, Werkzeuge, Versuchsanordnungen und Anlagen, deren Zweck dem Betrachter verborgen bleibt und die dennoch Großes erahnen lassen. Stefanie Bürkles Fotografien zeigen gewissermaßen die Alchemistenküchen der Gegenwart.
