The debates over the recognition of the Ovaherero and Nama genocide (1904-1908) in present-day Namibia have received increasing public attention over the past two decades. Kaya de Wolff examines treatment of the crimes committed by German colonial troops in German-language press coverage from 2001 to 2016.
