Director and animator Hermína Týrlová (1900–1993) is one of the most important personalities of Czech animation in the second half of the 20th century. Harmony with children's imagination and the ability to get closer to the world of the youngest viewers have made most of her films among the internationally acclaimed jewels of world animation. Her world of animated cloths, woolen fibers, glass beads and wooden toys still stimulates the imagination of viewers who have not yet lost their curiosity and interest in creatively discovering their surroundings.
