Violence at school is considered an old problem in Brazil, but the relevance in the social context and the serious consequences for students and their families, teachers and other school staff - which has been seen in recent years - demonstrate the complexity of structural violence and urban. The understanding of the theme, which affects (also) the school, involves the perception that violence is produced in interpersonal relationships, which is a complex issue that requires urgent discussion. The work in question is the result of consistent research by the Latin American Center for the Study of Violence and Health Jorge Careli (Claves / Fiocruz), with support from the Department of Continuing Education, Literacy and Diversity of MEC and brings reports and important perspectives discussed, in addition to pointing out ways that can serve as a basis for possible solutions.
