Jahrhunderts0 (Adolf von Harnack 1911) folgt ein Jahrhundert später hiermit in derselben Reihe eine vollständige zweisprachige Ausgabe des ganzen Apokritikos. Neben einer deutschen Übersetzung findet sich ein neu rekonstruierter griechischer Text mit Apparat. Der Apokritikos enthält eine der drei umfangreichsten anti-christlichen Streitschriften, die sich aus der antiken Philosophie erhalten haben, und des Makarios Widerlegung von christlicher Seite. Ein grundlegendes Werk für alle an der antiken Kritik am Neuen Testament, antiker Philosophie und Rhetorik Interessierte.

It has been a century since the first publication of the Apokritikos extracts, which were written 0by a Greek philosopher of the 3rd century0 (Adolf von Harnack, 1911). One hundred years later, as part of the same series, there now follows a complete bilingual edition of the entire Apokritikos. Along with a German translation, this volume includes a newly reconstructed Greek text with critical commentary. The Apokritikos contains one of the three most sweeping anti-Christian polemics preserved from classical philosophy, together with Makarios's refutation from the Christian side. This is an essential work for all scholars interested in early critiques of the New Testament, classical philosophy, and rhetoric.
