This book is designed for the teacher and the student who are primarily interested in the science of psychology as a systematic, interpretive account of human behavior and who are interested in applying the science of psychology to current social issues. In attempting to meet these requirements the authors have not found it necessary to keep two sets of readers in mind or to treat the subject matter of this book from two points of view.
