A selection of works of art by German-Mexican artist Mathias Goeritz (b. Germany 1915 - d. Mexico 1990), elaborated in the diverse techniques he explored during his life. The Mathias Goeritz collection, donated to the ICC in 1994 by Ana Cecilia Treviño, thanks to the efforts of architect Julio de la Peña, comprises works covering practically all of his artistic production: works on paper produced in the 1940's, sculptures in bronze, metal and wood, series of Bulnes, the Vía Láctea, his documentary archive that includes photographs and an extensive correspondence received Goeritz of friends and artists during their stay in Mexico. In total, the collection is composed of 220 pieces, along with a documentary collection of thousand letters and the personal library of the architect
