Der Band gibt die Vorträge des siebten deutsch-taiwanesischen Kolloquiums in Göttingen wieder. Das Kolloquium stellte dieses Mal die Rechtsvergleichung in den Mittelpunkt und griff von dort in den Zusammenhang von Recht, Rechtsdogmatik und Sprache aus. Damit wird eine in der deutschsprachigen Rechtswissenschaft geführte Debatte über Funktion und Wert klassischer Rechtsdogmatik aufgenommen. Aus der Perspektive ausländischer Rechtsordnungen ist es gerade diese Dogmatik, die die deutsche Rechtsordnung als Referenz interessant und zum weltweit von Wissenschaftlern geschätzten Typus für Rechtsstaatlichkeit macht. Auch wird die Problematik mehrsprachigen Rechts näher in den Blick genommen, welche sich besonders für Taiwan wegen der Rezeption zahlreicher Gesetze aus dem Ausland stellt, aber auch in der Europäischen Union zunehmend an Bedeutung gewonnen hat. Der Band stellt dazu eine Mischung aus exemplarischen Einzelstudien und allgemeinen dogmatischen Beiträgen für eine gelungene Rechtsvergleichung dar.
