Bååstede er sørsamisk for «tilbake». I 2019 ble en overføringsavtale undertegnet av Sametinget, representanter for de seks konsoliderte samiske museene i Norge, Kulturhistorisk museum og Norsk Folkemuseum. Avtalen gikk ut på å tilbakeføre 1600 samiske kulturhistoriske gjenstander til de respektive samiske museene. Gjennom bidrag fra museumseksperter som har vært involvert i prosjektet, gir denne boken innblikk i den omfattende overflyttingsprosessen, og erfaringene man har høstet. Dette er innsikt som kan være relevante for andre urfolk som arbeider for repatriering av egen kulturarv. Omtalen er utarbeidet av BS.
