Content:
Includes footage of civilian life in Budapest, and Ribbentrop's visit there. The rise of right-wing, military regimes in Germany and Japan is considered. Hungarian troops are seen bidding farewell as they set off for the Don River front. There is also a church service for them. The Nazi occupation Ukraine is then looked at. Hungarians are seen fighting at Stalingrad. The destruction of the Dnieper Dam is shown, along with Soviet defence, partisans, and scorched earth. There are also pictures of Soviet refugees. The 1943 Battle of Voronezh, enormous Hungarian losses, and a winter retreat conclude the film
