Content: "This publication seeks to be, in the first instance, a tribute to artist Manuel Felguérez (Zacatecas, 1928). Not only in the way of recalling its artistic importance on the national scene and for the University (UNAM), and, of course, for the Instituto de Investigaciones Estética (IIE) and the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC), but it is a celebration of what its inexhaustible energy produced in his prolific trajectory. The contents raised intersect key moments and, therefore, defining his thought and artistic production. Through an unreleased interview -and from a text of his authorship- we have a firsthand testimony of the ins and outs, not only of the life and work of Manuel Felguérez, but of the tensions that have defined art in Mexico in the second half of the 20th century. The interview, was conducted by Cuauhtémoc Medina in 2003" (HKB Translation) --Page 16
