Since its founding in 1985, Pedro Ayres Magalhães's ensemble Madredeus has offered its audiences a captivating mixture of musical creations that fuse traditional Portuguese music with influences from modern folk music. Enduring despite numerous changes in members and instrumentation, they have always stayed true to their art. In this 2012 concert recorded live at the Musical Theater Basel, they present one of their signature programs, enchanting their listeners with the help of one of the group's newest members, the singer Beatrix Nunes.
