Report of the Committee to inquire on the amount of deficiency in the accounts of the late State Treasurer Thompson J. Skinner, as well as noting what proceedings have already occurred. The committee was unable to present a precise amount, as Skinner's estate also had to pay a large debt to the United States for his defalcations as Marshal of Massachusetts. That debt superseded those of the state and creditors, and needed to be first determined. Various attachments, dated 1808-1812 are also included in this document. Report was submitted to the House of Representatives by Benjamin Russell, for "The committee appointed to inquire into deficiency in the account of the late Treasurer Skinner."
