A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: Mr Bromley's summary; on Western Europe: that an SS officer asks Himmler's HQ on April 9 for full powers to help retrieve the situation in the Baden-Wuerttemberg area where units of the Foreign Office had started to withdraw to the Lake Constance area so they could flee to safety in Switzerland and senior officers of the military district were behaving like a Mothers' Union; and on German new senior military appointments in Western Europe
