    Content: A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that a counter-attack by the 15th Panzer Division in the Mareth Front was described by the German Air Force (GAF) at Tunis as very successful; of heavy tank losses suffered by the Allies; that an attack by the 10th Panzer Division against Gafsa was halted south-east of Guettar; that the 21st Panzer Division was to counter-attack only after the enemy had attacked; that the main defence line on the Mareth Front is unchanged, as of March 23; that the launching of an attack by the German Africa Corps is considered urgent, on March 22; a report by GAF Tunis, on March 23; that the 21st Panzer Division intended to withdraw, on March 22; that a German reconnaissance unit is to augment the Italians in the Tamezred area; of further GAF sightings, on March 23; that a dive-bomber unit is to be again prepared to move at dawn, on March 23; that the GAF authorities in Tunis issued a warning of there being a danger of Allied parachute operations, on March 23; of GAF Tunis' sightings of motor transport and tanks in southern Tunisia, on March 23; on the tank situation of the 1st Army, on March 21; and the 10th Panzer Army reports its tank situation, on March 18; and on the Mediterranean: that all torpedo aircraft are to transfer on March 24-25 from Sardinia to Sicily for an unspecified operation in the Benghazi sea area, on March 23
