2PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICES AND THE STUDENTS’ PERCEPTIONS WITH THE GOIANA IDENTITIES ON THE BASIC EDUCATION IN GOIÂNIA – 2009 ABSTRACTThis article objectifies to comprehend the Geography education contributions on the formation of the basic education students regarding the conceptions construction and deconstruction about the Goiana identities in Goiânia. How the students conceive what is to be Goiano? And what makes part of their identities? Throughout it we identify the major geographic elements used by the teachers for the construction and deconstruction of the identity speeches, the main reference was the students and teachers perception. The problems that are foreseen around the theme are that in the contemporaneity it is necessary to discuss the cultural diversity, the identity cultural and territory conflicts for that the students are able to recognize themselves as social cultural subject, building an environment of respect to the different identities. And still, the media and the State exert a role in the construction of these identities that can be analyzed by the Geography education. However, allying such thematic to the Geography education is a challenge. At first it was identified that the didactic books do not point the referred themes neither the Goiana cultural reality in their geographic interpretations. Teachers and students gave testimonials about this reality in the Geography education. The methodological procedures used to the fulfillment of this article were lectures, direct techniques in the field, interviews, questionnaires, mental maps, reports and photographs.Keywords: Geography education, territory and Goiana identities.

Este artigo objetiva compreender as contribuições do ensino de Geografia na formação de estudantes do ensino fundamental no que se refere à construção e desconstrução de concepções sobre as identidades goianas em Goiânia. Como os alunos concebem o que é ser goiano e o que faz parte de suas identidades? Ao longo dele identificamos os principais elementos geográficos utilizados pelos professores para a construção e desconstrução dos discursos identitários, a principal referência foi a percepção de estudantes e professores. As problemáticas que se pressupõem em torno do tema são de que na contemporaneidade é necessário discutir a diversidade cultural, os conflitos identitários culturais e territoriais para que os estudantes possam se reconhecer enquanto sujeito sociocultural, construindo um ambiente de respeito às diferentes identidades. E ainda, as mídias e o Estado exercem um papel na construção dessas identidades que pode ser analisado pelo ensino de Geografia. Porém, aliar tais temáticas ao ensino de Geografia é um desafio. A princípio foi identificado que os livros didáticos não apontam os referentes temas e nem a realidade cultural goiana em suas interpretações geográficas. Professores e estudantes deram depoimentos sobre essa realidade no ensino de Geografia. Os procedimentos metodológicos utilizados para a realização do artigo foram leituras, técnicas diretas ao campo, entrevistas, questionários, mapas mentais, relatos e fotos.Palavras chaves: ensino de geografia, território e identidades goianas.
