Los antibióticos son medicamentos esenciales para el tratamiento de algunas enfermedades,en la comunidad del municipio de Sonsón – Antioquia. Se debe asumir la responsabilidad comoestudiantes y futuros regentes de farmacia, de brindar la información necesaria a los pacientesy a la comunidad en general en cuanto a uso adecuado de los medicamentos, posología, vía deadministración, duración del tratamiento, almacenamiento y preparación de estos y la importancia de seguir completo el tratamiento con el fin de que las personas tengan la informaciónnecesaria para hacer un uso racional del medicamento y sean adherentes a la terapia.Se utilizará para ello una investigación de enfoque mixto utilizando la encuesta como técnicade recolección de información. Sirviendo de punto de partida para el desarrollo de la campaña educativa, que es el objetivo principal del proyecto. La encuesta se realizó posterior a laatención de los nueve establecimientos farmacéuticos que se encuentran en la cabecera municipal. Se aplicaron cincuenta (50) encuestas por cada servicio farmacéutico, para un total de450 encuestas. Así mismo, se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica que aportó los referentes delproyecto.El resultado directo del uso no racional de antibióticos ha sido la selección y proliferación debacterias resistentes, que conllevan riesgos en la salud pública por haber acelerado y diversificado las vías evolutivas bacterianas, en forma impredecible.Por esto, se entiende que una campaña como la realizada en el municipio de Sonsón es importante para evitar no sólo la automedicación, sino también los riesgos que se corren al consumirantibióticos sin fórmula médica

Antibiotics are essential medicines for the treatment of some diseases, in the community ofthe municipality of Sonsón - Antioquia. Responsibility as students and future pharmacy regents should be assumed, to provide the necessary information to patients and the community in general regarding proper use of medications, dosage, route of administration, duration oftreatment, storage and preparation of these and the importance of following the treatmentcompletely so that people have the necessary information to make rational use of the medication and adhere to the therapy.A mixed focus investigation will be used for this, using the survey as an information gatheringtechnique. Serving as a starting point for the development of the educational campaign, whichis the main objective of the project. The survey was carried out after the attention of the ninepharmaceutical establishments that are in the municipal seat. Fifty (50) surveys were appliedfor each pharmaceutical service, for a total of 450 surveys. Likewise, a bibliographic search wascarried out that contributed the references of the project.The direct result of the non-rational use of antibiotics, has been the selection and proliferationof resistant bacteria, entail risks in public health, for having accelerated and diversified the bacterial evolutionary pathways, in an unpredictable way.By this, it is understood that a campaign such as the one carried out in the Municipality ofSonsón is important to avoid not only self-medication, but also the risks that are taken whenconsuming antibiotics without medical formula
