Die EU will Reparaturen fördern und ein „Recht auf Reparatur“ etablieren, um das Recht nachhaltiger zu gestalten. Das Buch deckt reparaturfeindliche und nachhaltigkeitsschädliche Anreize des geltenden Rechts auf. Es analysiert die geplanten Neuerungen kritisch und beschreibt ihre Folgen für das Handwerk. Das Buch zeigt, dass ambitioniertere Maßnahmen unverzichtbar sind, um Reparaturen effektiv zu fördern. So plädiert es unter anderem für eine grundlegende Reform der Warenkauf-RL, eine erhebliche Erweiterung der Reparaturpflicht und deutliche Verbesserungen beim Zugang zu Ersatzteilen.
