For many years, the ideological platform of Juche acted as a brake on the development on North Korea's external economic relations. Without abandoning this principle in economic policy the country is now forced, in view of the growing economic problems, to move toward the involvement of the external factor, not only in the traditional form (credit aid) but also in the form of joint ventures. The authors explore joint ventures in North Korea and North Korean joint ventures in other countries. (DÜI-Sen)
