Dieser Titel aus der "Edition Menschenrechte" des Horlemann-Verlags eignet sich besonders gut, Jugendlichen einen Zugang zu der Problematik zu verschaffen und mit ihnen darüber ins Gespräch zu kommen. Das Reihenkonzept ähnelt dem der Edition "Ich klage an!" aus dem Verlag Elefanten-Press(vgl. z.B. R.Engelmann: "Straßenkinder", BA 6/02), bei der - wie auch hier - das Thema in einer Mischung aus Sachinformation und kurzen Erzählungen vorgestellt und problematisiert wird. In 2 beispielhaften Erzählungen werden in diesem Buch Kinderarbeit in Indien und das Leben eines Straßenkindes in Ruanda als Einzelschicksale vor Augen geführt, sodass eine rein abstrakte Diskussion vermieden wird. Der Infoteil mit Fakten und Argumenten wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit Amnesty International - und damit kompetent - erstellt. Sehr zu empfehlen für die aktuelle Jugendecke und die Menschenrechtserziehung in Schulen. (1 S)
