Das weltberühmte Pantheon in Rom, die repräsentative Bibliothek und das Olympieion in Athen oder die Villa bei Tivoli: all dies sind faszinierende Beispiele einer Weltkultur, deren Bauten in nur selten erreichter Qualität weit über ihre Standorte und Zeiten hinaus wirksam waren und geblieben sind.
