Aubreys Mutter ist nach einem Unfall, bei dem ihre Tochter und ihr Mann gestorben sind, völlig durch den Wind. Als sie von der Großmutter nach langer Suche gefunden wird, erhält sie psychologische Hilfe und findet sich langsam wieder im Leben zurecht. Ein sehr beeindruckender, in einer einfachen, klaren Sprache verfasster Titel, dessen Inhalt sehr bewegt und trotzdem niemals belastet. Dies liegt vor allem an Aubrey, einem starken, sehr selbstbewussten, beeindruckenden Mädchen, das auf unterschiedlichste Weise versucht, mit dem Verlust klarzukommen. Ein absolut bemerkenswertes Debüt, das keine einfachen Lösungen anbietet. Ein Muss für jeden Bestand, dem man viele Leser wünscht
